MOORINGS CLUSTER BOD MEETING
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2001 Karen Compton called the BOD meeting of Moorings Cluster to order at 10AM, February 3, 2001 in her home. The following people attended: Karen, Carol Matthews, Joel Anne Lambert, Andrew Nachison, Pat Lenz, and Mary Buff.
Karen passed out minutes of the last BOD meeting. It was moved and seconded that the minutes be approved as written. Motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS
1. The Tot Lot was the first piece of Old Business. The status of the Tot Lot repair was questioned. Randy was not willing to do only those small repairs we had originally asked for because of his busy schedule. He said he'd do all repairs for $1000. Discussion followed that the swings need to be firmed up, stairs to the slide need replacing, as well as the footings for the duck ride. Carol Matthews will get three quotes for the work.
2. Plum Trees - The Taylor's do not want their plum tree removed, just trimmed where infected.
3. Sidewalks - Andrew said that he had not yet received anything from Mike Kelly regarding the sidewalk repairs/replacements.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Election of Officers - Marianne Alciati would like to be Block Rep in order to decide upon being Cluster President next year. Bill Jackman had also been approached to be President, but wasn't willing to consider the option until next year. With no one willing to serve as President this year, Karen agreed to stay on if she has help. It was suggested that Bill Jackman be understudy for President this year and have Marianne Alciati be an observer. Mary Buff reluctantly agreed to be Secretary again since no one else was willing to take on the position, but said we'd have to computerize the minutes to save both time and money. Pat Lenz agreed to remain Vice President and we were told that Ron Taylor would agree to serve as Treasurer again. It was moved and seconded that the following slate would be elected: Karen Compton - President; Pat Lenz - Vice President; Mary Buff - Secretary; and Ron Taylor - Treasurer. Motion was passed.
2. BOD Meetings - Karen explained that RA wants all Clusters to set up quarterly BOD meetings and to inform all Cluster members of the dates and times of those meetings. Joel Anne agreed to call all BOD members to remind them of meeting times or meeting changes. We will re-read Cluster Rules to see about adding the Vice President and Treasurer as voting members of the BOD. Matter will be brought up to the entire Cluster for a vote at our Spring Cluster Meeting.
3. Mutt Mitts - We should be receiving approximately 1000 Mutt Mitts shortly. We will look into getting a trash can placed next to the Mutt Mitts holder so people using the mitts will have somewhere to deposit the used mitts.
4. Downed Pine Tree - Karen will call the Cluster Grounds Committee to take care of the downed pine tree in the Inlet.
5. Tree Downed by AAA - Andrew's wife saw the AAA truck knock down the tree behind the O'Malley house. She will call AAA, as they agreed to replace the tree if the witness called them.
6. Trash Contract - Karen has written to AAA saying that we are canceling our contract with them when it expires. This was done to get a more favorable price/contract length, in line with other quotes she has received.
7. Neighborhood Watch - We will ask the police to discuss the crime situation in our area at our Spring Cluster Meeting.
8. Calendar - The BOD will meet the first Saturday, every other month, however, there will be a BOD meeting March 3 to prepare for the Spring Cluster Meeting in mid-March. We will try for March 13 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. We will schedule Cluster Cleanup for March 31/Apr 1.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:20 AM.
